Hi Samantha and welcome. You should go to another pain specialist, interview them on the phone prior to going and make sure that they have dealt with ARD patients before. You can also go to: http://www.pain.com You should read through the boards as it sounds as if you have had way too many lysis surgeries, these surgeries will only add to your problems.

moderator note: to see a list of pain-related websites listed in the Links Section on our website, please go to: http://www.adhesions.org/chronicpain.htm

The pain specialist told me the dreaded news that "adhesions don't cause pain", he said that I was hurting because of all the times I have been operated and its the abdominal muscle that is causing this pain. He wants to inject "medicine" into the "trigger" point that he found today, as well as several others.

Here is my question: Has anyone had this "trigger" procedure done? Does any of this make since to you all? Am I just skeptical because the pain specialist was too quick to rule out adhesions? (sorry, wrong board for "head" questions, lol).

Please let me know soon, as they are scheduling the procedure in the next couple of days.

Hugs and Prayers, Samantha
