Rita - there are some docs that still maintain that adhesions do not cause pain. They can't cause pain in the sense that they do not have nerve fibers that register pain but they can restrict the affected organs and prevent them from being able to move about freely and do their job. Go to the NIH website and put in the word "adhesions" you will get many articles that prove adhesions do cause pain. Print these off and take them back to your doctor.
