A CT scan will NOT show up adhesions.Sorry, no tests will, only surgery. I had adhesions dissected about a year ago from a previous gall bladder surgery. They were attaching my omentum, colon, intestines, & pancreas to my liver. I spent thousands of $'s & went to over 15 Drs. in the 2 1/2 yrs. after my gallbladder was removed on 3/22/00, all the while suffering severe pain. I was treated by the medical community like I was a NUT or Leper!!! No one told me until I had already went thru several humiliating tests, several Drs., & $$$ I could NOT afford that adhesions will NOT show up on tests. I finally found a surgeon several hours from my home who believed I was not a nut case & he did exploratory surgery on me. I still suffer from pain on a daily basis but it is not excruciating, all the time, like it was before. He used Seprafilm. I am waiting for Spray Gel to be available in the USA before I have a follow up surgery. I am terrified of having another surgery unless it is done correctly. Only as a matter of life or death would I have surgery done without Spray Gel. Take Care, Rita > THIS MIGHT BE A SILLY QUESTION-BUT HOW DO YOU KNOW
