I have had a colectomy & I did not need a bag but just beware that the
reattachment or anastomsis can become obstructed leading to another surgery & you
can become very, very sick form this quite quickly. If you do not have to have a
colectomy please do not. I need one as my colon never moved due to the
adhesions.
