Elaine, You really need to go to a pain management clinic. They will try different medicines on you until you can get comfortable. I had fought being on pain management also but at some point, you have no choice. I have had the surgeries to remove adhesions. (Last one in December) and I am back on pain management again. It doesn't get rid of all of the pain but it helps very much. I worked at a drug abuse office and the counselor told me that most people in pain do not get addicted to drugs. Your body may get used to them and the dose will have to go up. I am not sure if I have helped at all but please try going to pain management. Kelly
