Hi- My mom has had numerous abd surgeries and now seems to be having s/s
of adhesions (transient abd pain and bowel obstruction). The GI and ER
docs are calling her problem irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) by
exclusion. I have one question: Can adhesions cause transient abd pain?
The Rome criteria for IBS does not apply to my mom. I suspect
adhesions. Can anyone comment? Thanks!
