I'm sorry, but only a doctor can tell you whether you have a full or partial bowel obstruction or not. An x-ray can usually tell them pretty quickly.

I've had several episodes as you describe. Painful diarrhea - afterwards, pass gas, but no BM. Everything works differently for different people. To keep that in check, I eat raisin bran 2 x a day and drink a glass of prune juice (not bad if cold.). That seems to keep me regular but doesn't do anything to relieve the pain. Anything going through my intestines hurts in the lower left area, behind my belly button and now on the right side.
