Can anyone help

Hi, I have suffered from adhesions for the past two years and have had surgery in Jan this year to have them removed -easier said then done! I own my own shop and have not been able to go back to work due to the regularity of the spasms I am having. On a good day I will have maybe 15 attacks and on a bad day it may be as many as 30 or 40! Fortunately my son is running the business for me so I am lucky! After the surgery in Jan I was told by my Consultants Houseman that although the pains had returned there was nothing they could do for me and I just had to get on with life - Goodby! My GP requested a further appointment with the Specialist that appointment in on the 28th August. In the meantime I have been off work, when I requested my last sick note my GP suggested that I was not totally unfit for work and I could perhaps sit and sell parking tickets in the local car park! He is saying he will not give my any further sick notes. I am trying to get an appointment to see the specialist privately but still waiting...Does anyone have any advise on where I can go from here. I'm sure you all know too well how depressing it can be knowing that you may have to live with this for the rest of your life I wonder if perhaps a female Doctor would be more compassionate. Any advise would be very welcome. Thanks
