Hi everyone, I am new here and looking for information from anyone! I had lavh/bso 9 weeks ago. At around my third week post op, I noticed pain in my upper right abdomen (about 11:00..above my navel)It has not gone away and while my pelvic post surgery pain has almost entirely gone, this new pain has become worse. It is worse with bending and when I am on my feet and active for any length of time. Rest helps, but it is constantly there, just worse with activity. The pain is best described as pulling/burning/pinching. It feels just like the pelvic adhesions that I had before they were removed. I am confused because this is nowhere near any incision. My primary physician ordered celebrex, which did nothing and referred me to a GI doc. This doc believes I may have adhesions, but has ordered an abdominal and pelvic ultrasound for this coming Friday to rule out anything else. I don't have any bowel difficulties for the most part, just some sluggishness when I take vicodin for pain. This pain is debilitating, and is concerning me because I really expected to feel good at this point in my recovery. I also don't understand how I could get adhesions in that area. I had endometriosis and have not been on hrt yet. Is it possible for adhesions to form so quickly and cause such pain so fast after surgery? If so, how on earth did I get them in upper abdomen? Is it possible that it's referred pain from somewhere else, and if so, how is that determined? Any ideas and or advice would be so appreciated. I need to get rid of this pain and get on with my life. Thanks so much.
