Elaine, You are a hoot! Enjoyed your sense of humor! It is good you can still laugh....I know it is difficult at times. I will never forget one time when Melissa was feeling so bad. We tried a new doctor (for the umpteenth time). A friend had recommended him. But, she failed to tell us he talked like Daffy Duck. Oh my gosh. I tried not looking at Melissa..I knew if I did we would both die laughing. Little did I know she was trying not to look at me. And then our eyes met.........not good.......we both were rolling in the floor laughing and could not stop. He began asking, "Did I mith thumpthin?" ...........Melissa finally managed to say, "My mom was making faces at me".........(blame it on mom)!! We were SO glad to get out of there....poor guy. I mean he needed a warning sign outside the door, so you could at least be prepared. So, thankfully, in all the misery, there are times of laughter. Keep your chin up........and stay away from any open flames! My doctor mentioned this to me after the hysterectomy. I told him that was just a catch all and I refused to accept that. I truly believe it's like you said, they have no clue what the problem is so they say IBS.

I know this sounds crazy, but I was thinking today if maybe it's also
why I'm so tired all the time. If things aren't moving through my
intestines correctly, they can't be absorbing nutrients correctly
either. I'm also a walking fiber farm lol (love that analogy!). I eat
a salad for lunch every day, I take metamucil now and am eating two
bowls of shredded wheat a day. I still haven't had a bowel movement
since LAST Sunday! I have enough gas to supply Texaco for a month though
lol! I need a shirt that says "no flames or we're going to blow!" It's
awful. Of course, the more bloated I get the worse the pain gets. I
hate to take another laxative because I'm so frightened of my body
getting used to them. I'm not sure what else to do, so I plan to do
nothing until I talk to my doctor next week. In the past three weeks
I've had to take a laxative twice, so I really don't want to do that
again unless I have to :(.

well, whinning, sorry. Thanks for listening. It's so great that others
are also sick of hearing IBS! That isn't my problem...or else after they
cut down the adhesions I would have had the same problem. Everything
worked like it used to for a month and now I'm back to where I was
before. I just wish there was an imaging study they could do to locate
adhesions. After two surgeries in four months, I really don't want
anyone to even look in there for fear of more adhesions :(.
