Dear Amanda,
I have taken anti-inflamitories before, along with pain meds. I am
currently off them because the type I was taking, Equgesic was costing
me a co pay of $40. a month, and it contained asprin in it and I am
scheduled to have surgery soon and don't need/want any thing that will
cause bleeding. Asking for pain meds can be hard, but remember you are
in pain and need it. My last PCP accused me of seeking drugs, not being
in pain and being addicted to pain meds and needing to go to detox. That
was the last time I went to that clinic where I had been going for 15
years. The next week, I went to a different DR, who doubled my pain
meds because she knew and understood that adhesions do cause pain and
thought I was being under medicated. If your DR wont prescibe pain
meds, look for another DR that understands the pain that adhesions
cause.
good luck
