I have had 3 c-section, an appendectomy, hysterectomy, and my ovaries
removed. During the last surgery (Dec. 2001) when my ovaries were
removed, the GYN told me post op that I had a ton of adhesions. He
forgot to tell me that I had a massive cyst on a ovary, and that I had
developed post-op pneumonia!
I wrote this doctor a long letter explaining why I would not go back to
him, and that I was very upset at the treatment I received (he had
forgotten to get ok for surgery with my insurance Co. and I was
rescheduled twice!) All I received back was a form leeter from the
office saying how sorry they were that I was unhappy! I am now in pain,
I think it is from adhesions. The pain is located in the same area as
the ovarian cyst was. The pain is best said to be intermittant and
burning like someone takes a hot poker ans twists.
I don't know where to turn, my GP is kind of a jerk, and likes to refer
out. He forgets he's the gatekeeper at the HMO and my insurance is
ending May1..
