Sarah,

Whenever I have first started taking any pain medications, they make me sleepy for maybe the first few days. Then it totally changes and I can't sleep at all. My doctor has prescribed me Sonata which works well to help you sleep. There are times though when I just Benadryl or Excedrin P.M., which the active ingredient in that is benadryl. The Excedrin P.M. also has some acetominephren (tylenol) which would add to Percocet for pain. There is also Unisom that is over the counter to help you sleep. You might want to compare what the active ingredient in that is. It may just be benadryl (Diphenhydramine) in which case it might be cheaper just to buy the benadryl. Good luck though. I know how frustrating it is not to be able to sleep. Here it is at 5:13 am and I am still awake. Hopefully I will be able to sleep soon.

Take care and have peaceful dreams and SLEEP! Jenny
