Dear Jess, It is hard to hear of someone so young with adhesions. Adhesions are the result of surgery or injury. It seems to be surgery that has caused your little brothers adhesions. He will need a specialist in adhesions to get the best results. There are 2 adhesions specialists in Germany that are doing surgery with Confluent Spray Gel right now. One in Duisburg and one in Frankfurt. I believe this would be his best hope in becoming adhesion free, but, if he needs more abdominal surgery, he should get that done first. Adhesions start to grow within 30 mins of surgery and continue to grow for up to 7 days. Then they start to become old and start to shorten, and pulling on the organs they are attached to, thus causing pain. I hope I have given you some of the information you are searching for. I have prayed for your little brother & you & your family. I am sure that others will be able to give you more information and tell you where to go to find more information on your own. prays robin M
