I am so sorry to hear about the clinic making you wait. I don't have a pain clinic here where I live, so I talked to a nurse at our family planning here, that is where I usually get my yearly exam because it is cheaper, here they use a sliding fee scale.
Now what I did (i wasn't getting help with the pain, no one would give me meds) I took the post op report the one where I was diagnosed with the adhesions, and told her that I couldn't take it anymore, so got a hold of an internist here and he is the one prescribing my meds, maybe you can try that. This nurse even said after reading the report that she could understan why I was is so much pain.
Hope this may help you, try it and see what can happen. I would even tell them about what happened with the pain management. And they help you until you can get into to see them\
