This is my first time on a message board, but am praying for help. In 1990 had bilateral massectomy for pre cancer, with saline implants. Had rupture in implants then in 1995 underwent tram flap. Have not been pain free since. In 1998 had to have hernia repaired(epigastric) and had proplene mesh inserted in abdomen. In 2000 had a non malignant mass in my left side and underwent surgery with ovaries removed. Gyn didn't sew the mesh up and herniated in lower abdomen. In 2001 had to under go surgery again to repair. Gortex-mesh was inserted from breast bone to pelvic bone for abdominal support. Large amount of adhesions were removed and pilled away from my intestines. Since Jan. 2002 have developed severe pain on standing and walking in lower abdominal and groin area, and severe back pain. Was told probably adhesions, and have developed interstital cystits, from this. Do not know if I should have surgery again, could it make things worse.
