Dear Maya, You are not alone. But you do need a new doctor
and your family needs to understand that it is serious. Its
not in your head. Where do you live? Maybe Dr. Wiseman here
at the IAS site could send you a list of doctors near you
who will be able to help. Adhesions can twist around your
bowels and cause agonizing pain. Keep a calendar of your
bowel movements. If you haven't had any that's a big problem.
Just any old Emergency Room is a bad idea except if that's
all you have for an option, then you have to go there. But it
would be better to find a doctor who knows something about
adhesions and who understands your pain. Your family needs to
be educated and the best way to do that is for you to become
as knowledgeable as you can. Go to the quilt and read the stories.
Look back on the message board for items that pertain to you.
I know its hard to read and sit when you're sobbing. A few years
back, my husband recorded me in my sleep to "prove" that I snored.
Actually, what we heard was me moaning from pain in my sleep. Please
explore this site thoroughly. It could make all the difference
to you. My prayers are with you dear, Love, Sally Grigg
