Dear Mary,

I live in Idaho and until Nov or Dec 2002, I thought that I suffered in this horrible pain alone too. Then I found this web site and I am so thankful. Congradulations on being pain free. I hope your surgery worked for you and that you continue to live a normal life.

This site is to educate you about adhesions and their complications. If you need anything, just write and one of us will always respond.

Adhesions do cause real pain, as you know. And we all know it here too. Many of us suffer as you have, day in and day out. It's a vicious cycle. I just recently have gone to a pain management doctor and he's really very good. I can turn down narcotics if I want and try non-narcotics first. That was a blessing for me because I want to keep my life as normal as possible. But you know, sometimes you have to take stuff for awhile to see if it will work.

Feel free to contact me anytime and it's good to see you on here. You will learn a lot from the many that suffer in here. I have had this for 4 years, but many have suffered for 15, 19 and even longer.

Take care and know that you have come to the right place to get answers.

A New Friend, Tonya
