No one knows for sure if this will continue to affect her. Maybe not. I have heard stories from women that had adhesions removed and that was the end of their problem. I hope and pray this will be the results for your precious wife. Thank God for you and your understanding. Many men don't get it! Good luck--give her our best! karen -------Original Message------- From: adhesions@adhesions.org Date: Friday, January 10, 2003 04:29:41 PM To: Multiple recipients of list ADHESIONS Subject: Hope for pain I never heard of adhesions until yesterday. My wife has had chronic pain for 4 months that has completley paralyzed our lives. I have not been able to work and she has just sunk farther and farther into depression, hoplessness, etc. It has been the most horrible expeirience of my life. Yesterday she went in for a labroscopy to look for endometrosis. While the OBGYN was in there, they found an adhesion on the stomach and the large intestine. Exactly where she complained of the pain. They took it out and she is recomvering from that pain but has not had her normal pain for the last 24 hours, no nausea and no diareahea as she has had every day for the last 4 months.

I am wondering, my OBGYN seemed to indicate to me, our problem is solved
and we can go on with our life. As I have read around on this website,
it seems like it is more serious issue to treat and to deal with. I am
confused. Is my doctor not that up on this ailment. Do I need to learn
more. Will this continue to effect her.
