-- Dear MaryLou, Hi, again, its Sally, Kelly is still feeling poorly after the surgery and the long flight home. There is a multi-page narrative answering all of your questions available through Lisa. But I will try to answer those you have voiced here. Fist, do you have any pain medication that you can take to relieve some of your symptoms. Any operation has to be planned, etc. I can't stand to see people suffering. I flew to Germany to Frankfurt (11 1/2 hours, with wheelchair arranged in advance for all flights - when I flew home the flight wasn't full so they "saved" the back row for me to lay down in) I was there a couple of days while they did tests and I got my bearings. My surgery was almost six hours and I stayed in the hospital three days. You will want a German/English dictionary. Dr. Daniel Kruschinski provides lodging for you and your husband, or a friend or two. Take someone with you. Its hard enough without being alone. The lodging is very comfortable and right next to the Mein(sp) River which I really enjoyed with its ducks and swans. He also gives you a cell phone so he is always available to you. He really cares. He is not much into opiate pain meds. After a week he does a second look but I don't know how that would work if your adhesions are in your torso, I take it that means your chest? I know he's great on abdomens and takes hours separating the intestines from the adhesions, but we would need to ask him about chest adhesions. He gives you pictures of before and after and also a CD of the operation. Four days after the second look I flew home. Unfortunately, my appendix burst and I didn't know it, probably right after I got home, But after peritonitis, a month in hospital, I'm fine, weak and depleted, but no adhesions pain. And I know what it is, believe me. I wanted to end it all, but I'm so happy I didn't do anything stupid. I'll answer any questions you have, no question is too personal or stupid, however, I can't answer about the chest because I just don't know. Good luck, Love, Sally
