Women with Hysterectomy

I had my hyster almost five years ago at the age of 26 after the birth of my last child. Doctors don't seem to tell you what happens to a woman after a hyster and I have done more research than I think they have. :)

I had a complete hysterectomy after my uterus ruptured, but they were able to save my ovaries. However, I have read that after a few years without meses, that the ovaries start to atrophe (sp?) stop working basically and that many women will go into pre-mature menopause.

My question: Have any of you experienced that or had other hormone related problems because of the hyster--such as cycts, back problems that sort of thing. Since my hyster, I had almost chronic back pain, had PCOS and bad cramping. just like menstration. I know some is caused from adhesions, to which I am doing accupressure to help with (not me, chiropracter is :)

Sometimes I feel so moody and broken down. I know it has to do with being in pain all the time, but I wonder if I am starting into peri-menopause.

Anyone with suggestions or advice, please let me know.

Thanks, Julia
