Hi Karen, Happy New Year! No, I am not happy having a hyst. When I went to see Dr. Albee, an endo specialist, said that I have pelvic adhesion disease, so, there was probably no reason to have a hyst, and my doc who did the hyst was not an endo specialist. I cry so much now, but I am grateful as well. I have an almost 8 year old daughter and a 22 month old son, but I want to have more children. I feel selfish because some woman cannot have any children, but I long for the feeling of a child inside, even though I was on bedrest for 6 months for preterm labor with my son and he came 5 weeks early, healthy thank god, and his delivery was very bad and he was swept away by the neonatal intensive care team so quickly because he was premature. I am sorry, I do not even know you and I am venting. All in all, I cannot change what I have done, I was 25 when I had my hyst and yes I do regret it. Please, do not let your daughter have one. See the best in endo and they can save the female organs, I think if I would have flown to GA in July 2001, I woud still be able to bare children. I hope your daughter is feeling well. Please tell her is she needs any support, she is welcome to write me anytime and I will respond to all my emails. Thank you for asking and again, I apologize for venting, if your daughter is thinking about having one, show er this email. You see, endo runs in my family, I have 6 second cousins who have endo, all had hysts before the age of 30 and are pain free now, and I thought my chances were good of being pain free and I should have known my body, I never work by the book with my health, I have many things going on. Now, that I have had a hyst, for some reason it increases the chance of kidney stones and I have had my share of those for a lifetime, and they are way too painful, so please, either you or your daughter are free to email me anytime possible.
