Dearest Amy,
I am sorry that your mom suffers so. You are great trying to help..
Does she have any sort of diagnosis? Is she working with her primary
care doctor to help her find relief from her pain? Does she have
endometriosis. Has she ever had abdominal surgery ie. hysterectomy,
pelvic trauma, pelvic infection? I would punch in her specific symptoms
into the message archives. Consipation? pain with her period?ect. There
are some good docs in the US who take down adhesions but the lack of a
consistantly effective adhesion barrier can make having adhesiolysis a
painful excercise in futility. Surgical intervention can lead to new
and reformed adhesions. You must find a VERY skilled surgeon.
Lots of women are going overseas ( Germany) to seek treatment with the
new spraygel adhesion barrier. It could be more cost effective than
going out of state depending on insurance. You could also send an email
to Doctor Wiseman. It might take abit but he will get back to you. In
the meantime you have found the right place. just about everyone here
suffers from pelvic pain and there is much information to gleen to help
you in the right direction. There are the Adlap surgeons in the sponser
area and Dr. Harry Reich is suspose to be one of the best. I know
there are some docs in Atlanta too.See if there is a contact person in
your area to help you. Feel free to use this forum to vent your
frustrations as well.If I can help you in any other way please do not
hesitate to email me.
Love,
Dawn

I'm no doctor, just a fellow sufferer like you but I hope you consider me a new friend.
