She said that all of the homes were decorated with all sorts of fancy decorations including lots of manger scenes. But the strange thing was that all of the Wise Men in the manger scenes were wearing firemen's helmets.
She asked one of the local residents why all of the wise men had helmets and he told her, in his southern drawl, "Well, Maam, this here's the Bible Belt, you know, and we all follow what it says in the Bible."
She asked several more people why the Wise Men were wearing helmets, and each said the same thing. Finally she asked someone to explain it more thoroughly. He said, "Well, Maam, don't you know that the Bible says that the Wise Men came from a "far"?
