I was having terrible pelvic and abdominal pain. I had a tubal pregnancy and my tube had burst. The dr said that this was what caused me problem. Then 3 months later, I was still having the pain and is was also in my absominal area now. I decided to go ahead with the hyst at the age of 40 because of the pelvic pain. He took out all of my female organs including the uterus. As of today (about 7 yrs later) I am fighting the adhesions which are everywhere in the pelvic and abdominal areas. There is no way that a dr can say that surgery will cure you. Especially with having a hyst. Please read more info regarding ARD before you decide anything.
