Hi everyone,
Melissa was so depressed the last 2 weeks and just continually seemed to
be going down instead of up...was worrying me. Of course we are
communicating miles away via phone with her surgeon--so they were
concerned this week that she is still in bed and in pain, etc. Decided
it may be the Amitriptyline. Told her to stop that med. The next day
she was able to get out of bed!! Duh!! You just never realize that part
of the prob could be the med!! Now, we are going to do more research on
med's prescribed before she begins them. She is still having pain on
her right side, but at least she can stand up now and get in the shower.
That med made her so shaky, weak, lethargic. I am anxious to see how
she feels today. We took the boys for the evening yesterday and they
spent the night, so hopefully she got a good quiet evening and got some
rest. It has been 5 weeks last Thursday since surgery.
