Hi Cindy, Not intending to butt in to your communication with Dave, but read your post and wanted you to know that I read in Maureen Kennedy Salaman's book "All Your Health Questions Answered" that there is a natural painkiller called "DLPA" it is an amino acid and does not have the side effects of the drugs like morphine, however, she states that it is as effective as morphine. I just read it yesterday and intend to purchase it for my daughter who is on pain meds. She states it can be found in most health food stores. Also, you can find her book on the web by entering her name and doing a search. I have had my book for years and try to use natural products whenever possible. Maybe this will help. K
