Dear Jo, I am so shocked and disgusted with the news of late of the bombing in Bali. You and your countrymen are in our thoughts and prayers. Lets hope that we can get back a world that is safe and that our children will not have to deal with this in the future. If we all stick together we will be stronger than the worst evil. We have to stop this and make sure it can never happen again. Your friend, Jan

Dear Friends,

This weekend has been hard for Australians, one of our favourite holiday destinations; terrorists struck Bali at a popular holiday nightclub. It is hard to watch the news right now, as I type this.

The report talks the bomb blast, the devastation and about people wandering around unable to find medical assistance, Bali's hospitals overwhelmed. The number of Australian's missing and injured isn't known just yet.

Our air force scrambled to Bali to bring home the worst of the injured while commercial flights bring home the survivors who could walk. They have been arriving since late yesterday.

Please pray for my fellow countrymen & women; the terrorist threat has come close to our home. It is the end of the winter sports season, and a long-standing tradition sees our sports people travel to Bali to celebrate. Whether they are a school team, professional or playing just for fun, so many are now horrendously injured or dead.

Life is so precious, please everyone, live each day as best you can and look for all the good things in your life. It's at times like this we take stock of what is important. I know what is important to me, and I let my family know every day.

A sad Aussie friend, Jo
