     My gastroenterologist just prescribed MiraLax
for a difficult bowel problem I have.  He told me take it everyday.
This is somewhat puzzling, inasmuch as my family doctor told me that
taking laxatives on a continuous basis is dangerous.  Ones
normal system will completely shut down.  I have not as yet
discussed with him what the GI doctor told me.
    Anyway, the MiraLax does seem to help.
