It is very possible for the adhesion buildup to be putting pressure along
the artery if the buildup
is severe enough. According to my doctor when they opened me up, one of the
things they
found was that the adhesion build up was so severe, not only were they fused
to all my organs, they were tearing at all the places they were attached to
causing the extreme pain I was in, but the adhesions were very thick,
putting pressure along the artery that went down into my right leg. I had
alot of pain on my right side and pain which shot down into my right leg as
well as a tingling, falling asleep sensation. The reason they did surgery
was because I was in such horrible pain and could no longer walk that the
doctor was convinced they needed to do exploratory surgery. I had spent
over a year in extreme pain, been to 13+ specialists, and poked/prodded by
every test and machine possible with no results to include ultrasounds. The
day the doctor decided something needed to be done, they tried a lapraoscopy
first but could only get it in 2" because the buildup prevented it from
going any further. Next they opened me up like a
c-section and spent four hours cutting away all the adhesions. Ive not had
any problems with my leg since but the adhesions and the abdominal pain has
slowly returned after two years. It took 10 years after my original
c-section to get to that point of severity though.
Not sure if that helps, but its what I went through and what my surgeon told
me.
