I had a right hemicolectomy nearly 3 years ago, 3 days after a caearean
operation (my caecum twisted). Pain after eating steadily increased
over the months, until I was being woken up by it. I gave up gluten
(wheat, barley and rye) a few months ago for about 4 months and now I
eat it only occasionally. It has made all the difference to me and
though it sounds a bit dire, the delight of being pain-free is worth it.
Good luck.
