Being that you have had previous abdominal surgeries, it could possible be adhesions (scar tissue). And, unfortunately, adhesions do not usually show up on tests. As far as not having the 'classic signs' as your doctor stated, I'm proof that anyone can get it. Two years ago I was having chronic pain in my pelvic region (no backache, constipation, etc.). And, like most people, go to the doctor to get test after test which didn't show anything other than an ovarian cyst which was small enough for the doctors to not be concerned with (golf ball size). However, to that date, I had undergone zero abdominal surgeries! When my doctor had no other answers, he did laparoscopy and found that I did indeed have adhesions. After removing the adhesions and draining the cyst, I was pain free for two years. Beginning in July of this year, the pain has returned. So now I'm back to square one with undergoing the typical tests to determine if something else is wrong before I'm taken for a second laparoscopic surgery. Not sure if this will help or not, but thought I would throw in my two cents!

Can some one please help me? What are the systoms of pelvic scar tissue? I have had awfull pain in my pelvic area for several months. It goes from just below my bellybutton in a strip about 2 inches wide down to my pubic bone and all the way across my pelvic area.It starts burning at times and feels like someting is pulling the skin apart inside. I have had Pap,ultra sound, CT scan,X-ray,pelvic exams. All test show nothing unusal. Hurts to have sex or pelvic exam.I do not have constapation or any problems voiding. My back does not hurt.I have had gallbladder removed and hystrectomy over the years.I can't go to work I can't be on my feet for very long and I am getting very discouraged and depressed. The pain meds. do not help, I have been to the ER 3 time in the last 4 weeks while Dr. was running test 1 test a week.Dr. thinks it might be scar tissue but says I don't have the classic signs. Can anyone help me with what the classic signs are? Are all scar tissue systoms the same? Thank You.
