Dear Esther,

I can understand your mistrust and annoyance at the doctor who ordered the CT scan with contrast, it is true that adhesions don't show up on scans and x-rays... all that they will see is anything ususual, like a kink in your bowel, or something pulled very out of shape, this will INDICATE the possibility of adhesions.

My suggestion to you would be to contact your doctor and ask for his exact reasons for ordering the test, and what his possible plans for treatment are. When you see any doctor it is a good idea to ask "what if" questions, and to also ask him what he thinks it could be, and what he will do if the tests prove his theories.

Don't discard the test JUST yet, go back and ask him what he intends to do...

Love & warm gentle hugs, Jo
