I would give you a longer answer to your question, but I don't feel so good right now. The quick answer is you stay on a liquid or mainly liquid diet until things start to move and you feel improved, and then you stay on a maintenance diet that include lots and lots of water. Usually the liquid only diet works within a few days, and then its just tons of water daily (at least for me).
