September 11 - Lest We Forget

On the anniversary of this tragic day, I want to offer this opportunity to my fellow support group members and visitors to stop and reflect upon those innocent people who lost their lives.

As we all know, it was the WORLD TRADE CENTRE and so many countries were personally affected... loosing valued citizens, loved ones, friends and work colleagues.

Thinking about that night (we watched in happening here in Australia on our late night news....) I remember the horror and intense sense of dread and fear that emanated through my body.

As the story unfolded and we learned about the brave men and women who rushed to rescue the people in the burning towers, only to loose their lives too.... we saw a new sense of resolve, commitment and determination to make sure that life didn't change. Terrorists will NOT win, because around the world we are determined NOT to change our lifestyle and live in fear. We will overcome the terrorists by simply ignoring their attempts to keep us living in a constant state of fear.

My prayer today is in memory of those who lost their lives and the family, friends and workmates left behind.

LEST WE FORGET
