Re: possible adhesions causing pelvic pain?

I too am new here and went through the same thing about 2 years ago. Test after test after test. My original doctor of 10 years gave up after 2 months and basically wanted nothing to do with me as he could not find any reason for my pelvic pain. I guess he thought I was faking it or something. I then took out my list of approved providers from my insurance company to find a new doctor. Fortunately, I picked out a great doctor (he's an OBGYN). After a few more tests, which did not show anything, he proceeded with a laparoscopic surgery to find the source. He told me that he wasn't going to give up until he found the problem. I had adhesions connecting my bowel to the abdominal wall and an ovarian cyst. To make matters more interesting, this was my first abdominal surgery. So he really couldn't explain the source of my adhesions. Said it could have been from my back surgery 12 years ago or possibly something I ate irritated my bowel to produce the adhesions. Well, I had two pain free years. About 3 months ago they started up again. I have an appointment with my doctor next Thursday and can't wait. The appointment was booked three weeks ago and that was the first available. That's all I really know until I can see my doctor. But like you, I am having to work which can be a real chore sometimes. And a lot of the posts here have been very informative and I appreciate all the information. Good luck to you.

My name is Jo, I have been reading these messages. I have the same

remove adhesions and I am now working on a job for the next few months

a doctor to help me? I have been to GI specialist and emergency rooms
several times. No help there. I am willing to travel to get some kind of
relief. Ant suggestions pease email me.
