Virus warning from UKAS

Hi,

There is an extremely dangerous Klez.E virus going around that claims to offer a free tool for stopping the virus, when in fact it is the virus. Below you will see one of the messages that comes in the body of the message which has a hyperlink asking you to download the free tool.

This virus is rated as HIGH RISK FOR HOME USERS. This mass-mailing worm attempts to send itself to email addresses found on an infected system. It also can spread over a network. One of the things that make this virus dangerous is the fact that it can even infect you from viewing through a prevue pane. Some of the subject lines are:

Subject: A very funny website or Subject: Undeliverable mail-- or Subject: Returned mail-- or Subject: A WinXP patch or Subject: A IE 6.0 patch or Subject: W32.Elkern removal tools or Subject: W32.Klez.E removal tools
