I too had my gallbladder removed in 1995 due to constant right upper
quardrant pain.I have had terrible pain and problems with abdominal adhesions
folling several abdominal surgeries starting with two messey C-sections and
removal of all female organs, endo and massive adhessions. I had no stones in
my gallbladder just lots of inflamation. Since that time my liver enzymes
have been elevated and I have been checked for all the hepatitis viruses and
found to be neg. I continue to have debiliting pain in this area.Removing the
gallbladder didn't help my pain at all. . All the doctors just say it is the
adhesions causing the problems and there is nothing that can be done. I am so
misrable all the time and it hurts to sit up and do anything for more than a
few minutes at a time. The inflamation in my pelvic and abdominal region
seems to have spread to the liver. This is so scarey to me. I have never had
a liver biopsy or seen a liver specialist but I think I need too. So yes, I
know exactly what you are feeling .It is so dishearting to hurt like this and
not know what to do. I hope this helps you not to feel so alone with your
Right upper quardrant pain. Yours may not have affected your liver like me .
I hope not. .Take care and you might ask your doctor if your liver enzymes
have ever been elevated.Or if he thinks it is possible in your case? I hope
you find some releif soon.---------B.Carter
