Wow, Rosemary! You know once before I made the comment that one of the ways that your sister could fund the medical care that she needs is through the proceeds of a malpractice lawsuit. Man, these clowns really DESERVE to get their butts sued off!!! I know that your sister's friend the lawyer was helping get the medical records -- do you think she could refer your sister to the biggest meanest sleaziest ambulance-chasing malpractice lawyer in town? Like they said about Watergate -- it's not the crime it's the coverup...

Maybe you could convince your sister that suing these $^#&@!s is one way to make sure that they think real hard before they do this to someone else. Yes, bad things happen, and surgery is always risky, but if you are the doctor whose scalpel slipped in your hand, then you have a legal, ethical and moral obligation to make sure that the patient has the very best care after that to minimize the damage done by your screwup in whatever way is possible. Has it occurred to you that when this doctor sent her home from the hospital even though she could not hold down any foods that he was TRYING to kill her, so that then "his problem" would go away?

Making clear that her new husband and family are fully prepared to sue for wrongful death and even try to bring him up on criminal charges might just make this guy rethink how happy it will make him if your sister dies...
