Dear Jean, Thanks so much on the update on Chrissie, She is such a special person. I know it meant the world to her to meet you. I am hoping when she gets home after she recuperates we can meet. I don't live that far from her. If you can could you send me a picture of you and her, I would love to see what you two look like in person. Again thanks for the info-it means more than you know. Your friend, Jan

Chrissie asked me to post to the board for her that she is doing fine and says hi to everyone and misses the board. She left the hospital and went to the Clarion hotel in Scranton today (Sunday). She had a bowel resection, lost some of her small intestine, had gallbladder removed, and adhesiolysis. She had accumulated allot of adhesions again since her last adhesiolysis in Scranton in 2000, much more than the doctors expected. She actually has a mini laparotomy-type incision.

She is still on a liquid diet and will probably be in hotel at Scranton a few more days because she has to poop first (LOL)!

I spoke to her earlier today on the phone while she was still at the hospital. Later on me & my husband surprised her by paying her a visit at the motel. I didn't tell her on the phone that I planned on visiting her so the next she heard from me was when I was in the lobby of the motel. She was totally in shock and really surprised! It is a 1-1/2 drive from where I live.

We had a very enjoyable visit with her and her husband for about 3 hours......hopefully I didn't wear her out too much but I knew it might be the only time we get to meet. She is in very good spirits and cheerful as usual. We did have quite a few laughs. She is a very pleasant person to be around even a few days after surgery. She was very excited to see me which made me really feel good.

It was a very long ride for me so I am worn out, especially since my husband succeeded in getting us lost which made it longer than I intended, but it was definitely worth the trip. The four of us hit it off immediately although we couldn't engage in any strenuous activities........although Chrissie probably would have if her husband wouldn't be there to stop her (tee-Hee)....... me and my cane, and her and her boo-boos (TeeHee). Her husband is very attentive and protective of her. We are lucky to have good men to help us, as they kept reminding us (TeeHee). She does miss her dog and cats.

She was also excited that she got to meet Dr. Wiseman and got pictures with him. I took my digital camera so her husband also took pictures of the two of us together which I did email to allot of you. I should have taken my lap-top and then she could have talked to you guys a little......oh well, you can just wait a bit longer. JEAN
