I have been on chemotherapy and many pain meds including oxycontin and Lortab. Folic Acid prevents hair loss and also helps with nausea. These drugs deplete the folic acid out of your system causing hair loss and thinning, thinning of your nails and bones and nausea and vomiting. My doctor has switched me to a stronger prescription form called Leucovorin. Hope this info helps Debbie -------Original Message------- From: adhesions@adhesions.org Date: Wednesday, May 08, 2002 04:04:08 To: Multiple recipients of list ADHESIONS Subject: Re: pain meds and hair loss At Thu, 24 Feb 2000, Peggy wrote: >

or shampoo? My hairdresser cannot find any reference to it. Robyne I had surgery on April 10, 2002. It was outpatient surgery but had general anesthesia. Within the next few days I noticed my hair was falling out. It is now May 7, 2002 and it is still coming out by the handfulls. During this time I had been on Tylenol #3, Lorcet, and Tylox for pain. I hope this information is helpful. .
