To check for bladder incontinence they do what they call a q-tip test! Very
scientific! LOL The doctor tilts your bladder up with a q-tip and asks you to
cough. Then they see how much urine leaks out! The first time I ever heard of
this was when I used to pre-cert surgical procedures for a group of ob/gyn
doctors. The insurance company asked me if the patient had a positive q-tip
test. I had no idea what they were talking about and told them that I would
have to check with the doctor. Well, I was laughing pretty hard when I went
to ask the doc about it. I was really surprised when he told me that they
actually use a q-tip!
