Dear Barbara,
I am sorry to hear about how much pain you are in. You will find a lot
of love & support & information here. I had the intergel used on me in
Germany, Nov 2000. The first surgery, I was full of adhesions. One
week later (this Dr usually does a 2nd look lap) I had 50% reformation.
He was able to get half of it to stay away. I came home knowing I would
have 15-30% reformation. In Aug 2001, I had surgery locally. Seprafilm
was used during the open abdominal surgery. That didn't work too well.
I am in the process of raising funds to return to Germany. They are now
using a spray gel there & they have very high hopes for it. I have been
on the pain patch before, it can take up to 24 hrs to really start
working. It also helps to be able to take something for the break
through pain. We all know about the not wanting sex. I have extra pain
during and after sex. My hubby is so understanding that he doesn't
presure me for it.
