The Sleeping Sea
The warmth swept my soul I could smell the sea in the wind The night was black as coal I watched grains of sand spin
A breeze crept from the seas sleep Rolls of clouds gathered in the sky Shallow waves rushed my feet The sleeping sea began to cry
I could hear the roar of thunder over the crashing of the waves Blinded by lightening I began to shudder I stood very still trying to be brave
I tried very hard to remember her before she began to cry As she woke from her slumber Her waves were like walls for the sky
She swelled in anger, I shook in fear Her smell over took my air As she seemed to drown in her own tears
