Hi this is from "Desperate"(actually less desperate now). Thank you everyone for your messages. I was so out of it yesterday--I don;t know if my message that I sent actually got sent, as I don;t see it on the board. Anyway, I got a TENS unit yesterday, which works pretty well, but you have to turn it off and on all day to prevent your body from getting used to it. It can;t be used at night. I was in great pain last night and couldn;t sleep, so I tried the Duragesic patch but ripped it off after two hours because I became so incredibly seasick from it. I have quit all OTC meds. To night I am going to take amytriptilene at 6 pm instead of 10 pm thanks to Jo in Autralia's suggestion, to see if I can fundtion better tomorrow, mentally. I am working on a pain pain management plan. Tomorrow I will go to acupuncture-- I still haven't tried oxycontin, but probably will try that next. So if anyone wants four free duragesic patches e-mail me--they may work for others but are poison to me! The bad side effects took hours to wear off during the nightand I had a trerrible dream about being pulled to shreds by a a pack of wild dogs, of course in the area of adheions. Oh, and I was naked, lying in mud. I made a big decision at work to get out of an unreasonable project that is not physically possible for me to do. once I get this pain "managed", I hope my postings will be more uplifting and make more sense. Thank you again to everyone. Mary Lou
