Dear Jenn Having pain is not normal! Your story is like many others. I have been having adhesion pain for over 18 years. The last several years, it has been constant. I have been taking pain meds for most of the last 4 years except for 3-4 months after each of my surveries. My last surgery was in Aug 2001. In late December, I started taking pain meds again. Everone is different as far as when they start experiencing pain. I think that you are lucky to have gone so long before the pain returned. Keep you chin up! I hope that you will come back to site, and let us know what your Dr had to say. robin
