Helen, Thanks. The Internist that I see does not want to change the meds that I am on but doesn't want to give me more so I asked to be sent to pain management I don't go for awhile though. I don't understand why some days are horrific and other days the pain isn't too bad. Yesterday I spent 3 hours trimming trees and cleaning up the yard. Last week there would be no way I would have been able to do it. Hopefully the pain man. dr will prescribe something extra. The dr. did give me stool softner which I think may help a little. I'm about 9 days late with my reply, but was not feeling well. Anyway,
regarding your question about the oxy and if others are taking anything else
with it, I've seen many here say that they are also taking something else
for what is called breakthrough pain. I was taking the oxy with tylox and
it really helped. I just asked to be switched because I had been on the
tylox so long and this is the only thing that could damage my liver.
Roxycodone is another opiod that I've seen prescribed, which is what he
changed me to. It is all trial and error, and what your PS is willing to
prescribe.

Love,

Hell-yun
