Hi Jill
Welcome to the board! I am sorry that you have only just been diagnosed with endo, I too have only recently been diagnosed with it after my ovaries had been removed. I experience severe kidney pain & often have tests to see if I have urine or kidney infections and they come back negative.
I haven't been prescribed lupron, but I have heard that it is a very serious drug and to be honest all the posts I have read about it aren't very positive. I have just recently had a consultation with an endometriosis specialist and he told me that it required very complicated hormone therapy to keep it under control. Having surgery to remove it is out of the question for me as my abdominal area is filled with dense adhesions.
I suggest that you do as much research on Endometriosis as possible. You will find links to some great information on the Adhesions site, as well as help from some of the regulars here on the board. The most important advice I can give you to start with is not to consider surgery, look at all your options carefully, and if you are still thinking about it you will need to find a surgeon who specialises in this area.
Again, welcome to the board, we are a pretty friendly bunch here and do our best to offer friendship and support.
love & gentle warm hugs
Jo (Australia)
