Janet- Oxycontin. Side effects?

Janet, I forget......what is the senna called you are taking, and where do you get it? My bowels have been worse lately and now that I am on the Oxycontin again I know it will be even worse. I can't imagine taking more than the 12 Herblax I already take so maybe by body needs a change. The herblax does also have senna in it so I don't know what my problem is.

My pain doctor did ask if I had constipation so maybe back problems can also do this, don't know though.

It will take me awhile to adjust to the Oxycontin again. I was starting to really feel sick tonight again and for some reason my good leg also started hurting really bad but the bad one felt better from the pain pills......this body of mine is definitely is WEIRD! I need the good leg or I can't walk at all.

JEAN

Hey Kathleen,

It took me a good 4-5 weeks to adjust to Oxycontin but it was worth it. The main thing for me was the sluggishness, getting very very sleepy sometimes but the I adjusted. It also took awhile to build in my system. Be sure to keep watch of your BM's as your bowels may become more sluggish. I take senna daily to maintain. This medication is wonderful and allows me to live comfortably like no other has and stay more active. Still have to rest, use heating pads, and eat light but I feell more normal than I have in a long time. Hope you get this same kind of relief.

Love,

Janet
