Jo, I wasn't on the Ditropan prior to this last surgery. I was on it about 13-15 years ago, before one of those surgeries. It has been too long for me to remember if I had side-affects or not, apparently not severe or I wouldn't have kept taking it.

It could be a total different story now though because I have now become "ultra" sensitive to all meds, even antibiotics. I can only take the Ceftin antibiotic which is weird since it is the most powerful one and the most expensive, guess I have expensive taste!

I also have a few meds that are swear words now, and doctors (LOL)!

Hi Jean,

Just read your post to Kel & you mentioned that you are using Ditropan until your last surgery! I wondered if it was effective, it was prescribed for me, but I got every side affect listed in the packaging to the extreme! It was very embarrassing....I was in the middle of a business presentation, with a group of important business representative in town & I was talking garbage!! I couldn't even remember what I was saying.......I had started a sentance & then started another without finishing the previous one....Thankfully Shane was there & he was able to take over & finish the presentation.......

I had a super dry mouth, got to the point where I couldn't remember my name & spent a week in hospital recovering....LOL so Ditropan is a swear word in our house :-)

love, Hugs & cheers,
